Halal Chicken Recipe: Creating Unique and Delicious Dishes

Classic Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:

1 kg basmati rice
1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
2 onions, sliced
4 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup yogurt
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
2 tsp biryani masala

1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
4 cloves
4 cardamom
2 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup oil
Salt to taste

Steps:

Wash and soak rice for 2 hours. Drain.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves and cinnamon stick. Fry for a minute.
Add onions and fry until golden brown.
Add chicken, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and biryani masala. Fry for 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
Add yogurt and salt. Mix well.
In a separate pot, boil water and add rice. Cook until half done.
Add chicken and gravy on top of the rice. Cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
