Classic Chicken Parmesan


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 jar marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup olive oil


Preheat oven to 375°F.
Pound chicken breasts to even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
Dredge chicken in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumb mixture.
